What do y’all think about the current breast cancer debate stirred up by the new screening recommendations?

Initially, I thought it was crazy talk ’cause they pushed back the suggested screening age 10 whole years. I thought the screening was self-examination, but then I read that x-rays are involved (2nd link). I’m not fond of x-rays or any type of radiation/unnatural solution. The recommendation did come from scientific research, so it’s gotten more credible to me.

Makes me wonder, though, what is the best way to screen for breast cancer that does not involve radiation or has the potential to bring about negative effects? What’s your take on this? And for guys, the same can be said of prostate cancer, or cancer in general. Personally, I do not want chemo.
