Sometimes you fall so hard and so far that you are numbed all over. Everything around you seems to be in complete chaos; no rescue in sight. The below picture is from Isaura Simon, an artist whose work I stumbled upon while surfing the Net years ago. It is one of my favorites because people can easily relate to it in their own way.

The song that follows is what I think we all feel when our world comes crashing down on us- that all we have left is that last bit of hope. To me, hanging on to that last bit of hope and fighting to survive the storm is our only way out.
This entry, picture, and song is dedicated to all of us- because we’ve all been there before.
“Storm”

How long have I
Been in this storm
So overwhelmed by the ocean’s shapeless form
Water’s getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head
If I could just see You
Everything will be alright
If I’d see You
This darkness will turn to light
And I will walk on water
And You will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into Your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright
I know You didn’t
Bring me out here to drown
So why am I 10 feet under and upside down
Barely surviving has become my purpose
Cause I’m so used to living underneath the surface
If I could just see You
Everything will be alright
If I see You
This darkness will turn to light
And I will walk on water
And You will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
And I will walk on water
And You will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright
I know everything is alright
Everything’s alright
Yeah…
Everything’s alright
